Sky watchers will be treated with a cosmic spectacle on Sunday with the first of the two solar eclipses of the year. On June 21, the Moon will eclipse the Sun to create a “ring of fire” within the sky.
01 The first solar eclipse of the year
A solar eclipse takes place when the Moon comes in between the planet and also the Sun, blocking the Sun’s rays from reaching the planet Earth. The eclipse happening are going to be an Annular solar eclipse because the Moon will cover only the centre of the Sun, leaving its outer edges visible, forming a “ring of fire”. An solar eclipse occurs when the Moon is simply too far from the planet to completely hide the Sun.
The eclipse are annular only in some parts of the country, where people are going to be able to witness the ring of fire, while within the rest of the country it will be partial. It will start at 9:15 am and last till 3.04 p.m (IST).

The ring of fire are going to be visible from places like Suratgarh and Anupgarh in Rajasthan; Dehradun, Chamba, Chamoli and Joshimath in Uttarakhand and Sirsa, Ratia and Kurukshetra in Haryana.
Solar Eclipse is although a phenomenon , but it’s believed that it can have some negative effect on human health. Some of the beliefs are formed by the science and others are of mere theories.
Eclipses aren’t considered good even for pregnant women. As per some mythological theories, pregnant women shouldn’t go out of their house during the eclipse because it could also be harmful to her and her baby. It is said that women who go at this point face difficulty during delivery or their children are born with abnormalities.

Watching solar eclipse directly with the naked eyes can damage your retina and within the worst case, it can even cause blindness. If you wish to look at the eclipse then use special solar eclipse glasses for it. Many people use sunglasses or photographic negatives, but these items aren’t effective in the least .

Some people believe that solar eclipse will even disrupt your digestive system. For constant reason, people avoid eating or drinking anything till the solar eclipse isn’t over.
06 Can make you feel lethargic
As per some beliefs, the eclipse can cause you to feel tired and lethargic. Even though you had a sound sleep at nighttime, you’ll feel fatigued. It is advised to avoid making any quite big decision as you’ll not reap any enjoy it.
07 Mood change
This astronomical event is claimed to even have a negative impact on your mood. You may sometimes feel irritated or feel sad for no specific reason.
08 Word of caution
Remember, not all of these beliefs are true. They are mere theories, without any scientific backing. The only thing which is true is that you simply must not see the eclipse with your naked eyes.
